New Sunscreen Report out!

Hi! A couple of things...

1. Sorry for not having written in the past two weeks but I was away over in London, England and thought that I would have some interesting things to report from the country that brought us something as important as the Boots Star UVA rating. But I don't. I was frankly a bit disappointed and did not see any real innovation or note-worthy trends to report on! I did come across an article that actually goes into depth about what constitues natural versus organic products acording to the various regulating organizations out there, so I will do some digging and report back once I get a handle on it (like sunscreens, organic regulations seems to be a bit of a proverbial gong show out there!).

2. Also, the Environtmental Working Group came out with the 2009 Sunscreen Investigation. As an organization, they can be a bit overreactive when it comes to reporting every possible suspicion or criticism against any and every ingredient. However, they are also on the forefront of doing some really solid analysis of sunscreens available and have a fantastic database where you can search your own sunscreen brand. I now have their Gadget to the side of our blog so you can search for your brand directly. Go check it out! Well worth it. Read the report as well- it makes a nice point that I have always counselled people to avoid using moisturizers with SPFs as their stand alone sunscreen.

Ok, my "The Dark Side of Green" article is coming soon (it's a working title), and our beauty webinars are also slated for production ( once I get over having my picture taken!).

All the Beauty Best,

Sara Dudley
